Our Stampede

Even though I am a bit late posting this we did go to The Stampede this year.  The Princesses did some rides ....

Enjoyed some (overpriced) food...

Visited the medic station after this ride for some Advil....

We saw some awesome cakes that looked like Buddy from Cake Boss had made...

For the Grand Finale Rhino took the Princesses to the Grandstand Show and as usual it didn't disappoint.  Even though it raining they were undercover and didn't get wet....

Acting debut

Rhino completed a communication course this week and needed to add some video so after a little bit of bribing he was able to convince Princess Belle to help him. For all of it's 30 seconds the acting was superb!

Just so you know glossophobia is the fear of public speaking.

Drive Safe

Just found out that a neighbour had a major car accident and totalled their car.  I just feel sick.  However, they are all in great condition considering the car rolled 3 times.  The most severe injury is to their youngest daughter she may need surgery.  I hope that everything will be okay.

Please drive safe and keep your kids an extra hug today.

Our day!

BOTH the Princesses passed swimming lessons!  They were both so happy and so was I.  Princess Belle is taking more swim lessons next week - which she isn't happy about as the lessons are for 90 minutes.  I think know she is a bit worried. I would be too as I couldn't do all the requirements but I know she can!  Miss Cinderella starts a day camp on Monday and is excited about that as she may see some friends from last years camp.

We went to my Heritage Park today but to my horror my annual pass had expired and when I looked at the calendar there won't be much opportunity to use it so I didn't renew it. My Mom had the girls pictures taken....
What fun!
Oh and for those Royal fans Rhino saw the motorcade roll on by his work!

Our Canada Day

We have never taken the girls to a parade - I know I am the worst mother ever, right?!  A friend of us told us about this awesome parade that they go to every year in a small town.  They even throw candy at the kids!  Bonus!  I loved every minute of this parade!

Main Street - waiting for the parade to start

Checking out all the action

Pretty funny!

Wonder how his haircut turned out?

We had lots of fun and the kids loved catching the candy and just waiting and watching to see what will come next!  I think this will be a new annual tradition to go to this parade.

One last shot...

Miss Cinderella made my heart so proud during the parade without prompting or encouragement she would go and get the boy beside me candy.  As the parade floats and attractions would go by they would throw the candy at the kids but these two boys didn't stand a chance in getting the candy as the young kids would run up and take it but Miss C noticed that and went and gave it to them.  She knew without even asking or questioning that they could use a little bit of kindness.  We were so proud of her!

After we left the parade we happen to come across these - it seemed like Area 51...what do you think?

Pretty cool but we thought it was best to be a leaving!
